Refund & Return Policy
Your cancellation and refund rights for iTeach subscriptions and related services.
Last updated: 6 June 2026 · Effective date: 1 July 2024
This Refund & Return Policy (“Policy”) applies to subscriptions and purchases of the iTeach platform and related services (the “Services”) provided by We Starter Ltd (“iTeach”, “we”, “us”, “our”), available at https://iteach.westarter.com.
Because iTeach is a digital, cloud-based subscription service and not a physical product, there is nothing to physically return. This Policy therefore explains your cancellation and refund rights. It should be read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Our subscription model
iTeach is offered on a subscription and module basis. Depending on the plan you select, you may be billed:
- Monthly — a recurring subscription charged each month;
- Annually (yearly) — a recurring subscription charged once per year; or
- One-time — a single non-recurring charge for a specific plan, course, or service.
Your selected plan, price, billing frequency, and the modules included are shown at checkout and on your invoices. All payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe.
2. Auto-renewal
Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period using your saved payment method, at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date. We will make renewal terms clear at the point of purchase. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time (see Section 6).
3. Your statutory cancellation rights (consumers)
If you are a consumer in the UK (purchasing for purposes outside your trade, business, or profession), you may have a statutory right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
- You generally have a 14-day “cooling-off” period from the day your contract is formed to cancel for any reason.
- Important — digital services exception: if you ask us to begin providing the Services during the 14-day period and you acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once the Services are fully performed, your right to a refund may be limited or lost for the part of the Service already supplied. Where the Service has only partly been provided, you may be charged a proportionate amount for what you have used.
- To exercise your cooling-off right, contact us within 14 days using the details in Section 9. You may use the model cancellation wording, but it is not mandatory.
This section does not apply to business customers (see Section 4). Nothing in this Policy affects your non-excludable statutory rights.
4. Business customers (B2B)
Most iTeach Customers are institutes purchasing for business purposes. If you are a business customer, the statutory consumer cooling-off rights in Section 3 do not apply. Your cancellation and refund entitlements are governed by this Policy and your Terms of Service / order form. Unless your agreement states otherwise, fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated below.
5. Refund eligibility
Outside of the statutory rights described in Section 3, refunds are handled as follows.
5.1 When we provide refunds
We will issue a refund in the following circumstances:
- Double or duplicate charges — where you have been charged more than once for the same subscription or billing period.
- Incorrect or wrong charges — where you have been charged the wrong amount, or charged in error.
- Service not delivered — where, due to a fault on our side, we fail to provide the Service (or a paid module or feature) that you have paid for.
- Incorrect subscription change — where your plan or subscription is changed or billed incorrectly (for example, the wrong plan is applied, or you are upgraded or downgraded in error) rather than as you requested.
Any refund outside these circumstances is at our sole discretion and is not guaranteed.
5.2 When we do not provide refunds
We do not provide refunds in situations including:
- Change of mind — if, after purchasing, you simply decide you no longer want or need the Service, we do not provide change-of-mind refunds (subject to any statutory rights in Section 3).
- Failure to cancel before renewal — charges for a new billing period that begins because you did not cancel before the renewal date (see Section 6).
- Not using the Service — fees are not refundable simply because you did not use, or made limited use of, the Service during a paid period.
- Partial billing periods — once a billing period has started, fees for that period are generally non-refundable, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Used or elapsed subscription time — time during which the Services were available to you.
- Charges from third-party services you connect (e.g. WhatsApp Business Platform / Meta, phone and SMS). iTeach provides classroom and communication tools that link to third-party services through their APIs. Where you connect your own third-party provider account, that provider contracts with you and bills you directly through its own portal — for example, Meta for WhatsApp Business messaging, Amazon SES for email delivery, your chosen phone/SMS provider for calls and text messages, or any other external service you connect using your own account. We Starter does not set, collect, receive, or control these charges; we only supply the API-connected tool that links your account to the service. We are therefore unable to refund any amounts you pay directly to a third-party provider, and any billing or refund queries for those charges must be raised with that provider directly.
- Usage-based charges already incurred within your subscription, for resources or services you have already consumed.
- One-time setup, onboarding, or configuration fees once the work has been performed.
- Add-on modules activated and made available during the billing period.
5.3 Free trials and demos
If we offer a free trial or demo, you will not be charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription begins and the applicable fees become due. Trial periods themselves are not refundable.
6. How to cancel your subscription
You can cancel at any time by:
- Logging into your iTeach account and managing your subscription in the billing/settings area (where available); or
- Contacting us using the details in Section 9, ideally before your next renewal date.
When you cancel:
- Auto-renewal stops, and you will not be billed for future periods.
- Your subscription generally remains active until the end of the current paid period, after which access to paid modules will end.
- You are responsible for exporting or backing up your data before access ends. Following termination, data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.
7. How refunds are processed
- Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method via Stripe.
- Refunds are made in the original currency of the transaction; we are not responsible for exchange-rate differences or bank/card fees applied by your provider.
- Once approved, refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days, although the time for funds to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.
To request a refund, contact us with your account details, invoice/transaction reference, and the reason for the request.
8. Chargebacks and disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first so we can investigate and resolve it quickly. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us may result in suspension of your account while the matter is reviewed. We reserve the right to contest chargebacks we believe are unwarranted by providing transaction evidence to Stripe and the card networks.
